Shipping within South East Asia


General Information

Mai Home Décor Pte. Ltd. offers delivery to most countries in South East Asia, according to the list provided here below. Your order will be produced, prepared and shipped from Mai Home owned lacquer atelier next to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

When you place an order, we suggest you have it delivered to an address where somebody can receive it during business hours, as the couriers only deliver between 9am and 5pm, and may require a signature on receipt and payment of extra taxes if any. If no one is there to receive the parcel at time of delivery, the parcel will be sent to the nearest post office and be available for pick-up there.

Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. The recipient of the parcel must pay these charges. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country and you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.


Product prices and delivery charges

Please note that the prices that are indicated directtly on the product pages of the website are product prices ex-factory without delivery charges.

Non-Bulky products

Non bulky products such as table lamps, accessories and certain pieces of small furniture are shipped and delivered by the Post Office systems / courier services of the countries involved (at the source and destinatin). The delivery charge for a non-bulky item is calculated directly by the website calculator depending on the product weight and the address and country of destination and added to your order and the product price. Delivery charges takes into account door to door delivery from our Vietnam factory to the address of destination. Delivery charges may be subject to change without notice.

Bulky products

Please note that bulky products such as floor lamps and certain piece of furniture (cabinets, tables, consoles, etc.) cannot be shipped using our standard shipping method that is suited for our Home Décor Accessories and Table Lamps. For these bulky items, we would need to provide you with a special quotation that shall take into account special shipping charges. Thus, you will not be able to order directly bulky products via Mai Home e-Shop and we kindly ask you to make an enquiry via the website instead (click “Make Enquiry” button). We will then process your enquiry quickly via email, outside of Mai Home e-shop.


Packaging: effective product protection for safe overseas shipping

Each product is wrapped in a soft paper to protect the lacquered surface against scratches. Dehumidifier sachets are placed in a plastic bag together with the product to protect it against humidity during storage and shipping. The product is then packed in individual cardboard box made of 5-layer corrugated board. Six panels of polystyrene board that are 2.5 cm thick are added on each internal side of the carton to further protect the product. Each individual box containing the product is further protected by V shape edge strengtheners running along the edge of the carton to allow for safe and robust export shipping by courier service. The product with the described protection can withstanding drop test of 2m.

What To Do If The Order Does Not Arrive

We aim to deliver all of our orders and keep failed deliveries to a minimum. If we do fail to deliver any order to you, please report this to us no later than 45 days from the date on which the order was taken by us via our e-shopping website. We will not accept responsibility for any undelivered orders, which are reported to us later than 45 days after the date on which the order was taken by us.

Before getting in contact with us, have you tried:

  1. Checking the tracking link via your shipping confirmation email to view up to date tracking information
  2. Signing into Your Account to check we have the correct delivery address for your order and your contact details are up to date.
  3. Checking if you have a text message, email or attempted delivery card from one of our carriers. Your parcel may be awaiting collection at a local Post Office or delivery depot, or you may need to arrange redelivery.

If you still can't find your parcel, please contact us and quote your order number. We'll reply within 48 hours and do our best to locate your parcel. Do take note, however, that all liability for the package will be borne by the courier, and Mai Home Pte. Ltd is not responsible for any lost packages, after being collected by the courier. We will however coordinate with you to re-ship yuor order once the courier company has accepted our claim for lost parcel and compensated us via the insurance we have subscribed.
